Διαδρομές στην ελληνική γλώσσα και λογοτεχνία: Το Greek in Country Study Program του πανεπιστημίου Charles Darwin

This paper is an overall evaluation of the various academic aspects of Charles Darwin University’s Greek In-Country Study Program, whose main purpose is to support the learning of the Greek language and culture through language lessons and cultural activities in Greece. This program, carried out since 2007 in cooperation with the University of the Aegean, is supported by various organizations, volunteers and individuals in both countries, as well as by a group of university professors and teachers, who teach the Greek language, and assist the students in the completion of cultural activities. After ten years of successful implementation of the program, the purpose of this presentation is to highlight the learning activities that have been completed over the years, through the presentation of research conclusions and experiences that will depict the importance of language, literature and culture in strengthening the identity of Greeks in the Diaspora, as well as the potential and challenges posed by the teaching of Greek as a second language today.
