Abstract
Advances in brain imaging technology have significantly enhanced the diagnosis and understanding of neurological disorders. This study explores the clinical roles and advancements of five key brain imaging modalities: functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), electroencephalography (EEG), magnetoencephalography (MEG), positron emission tomography (PET), and diffusion tensor imaging (DTI). These technologies play pivotal roles in neuroscience, from mapping brain activity and functional connectivity to visualizing metabolic processes in the brain. The integration of deep learning and machine learning algorithms with these imaging methods has developed their clinical applications. These advancements have improved diagnostic accuracy, enabled early disease detection, and facilitated the development of personalized treatment strategies. By implementing artificial intelligence, these imaging techniques can now provide more precise disease characterization and better insights into neurological conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, and traumatic brain injury. This study highlights the transformative impact of combining advanced imaging technologies with artificial intelligence, emphasizing their importance in modern neuroscience and clinical practice.
