Abstract
Baluran is the remaining natural forest in fareast of Javan Island which become the last protection area for bird preservation in the island. With its various forest kinds, which consist from coastal forest, lowland forest, savanna until montane natural forest. Baluran is an ideal nature laboratory as many species of birds could be studied here.
The book fills the gap of information for bird ecology and conservation in the region. Not only providing a clear description of each bird species, but also offering an insight into birds ecology in Baluran National Park.
