N2 - The development of mental health social work in Greece has been contingent upon a number of local and international drivers. The current study provides descriptive data in order to examine the perspectives of mental health social workers on the professionalization of clinical social work. A self-addressed questionnaire that aimed to acquire quantitative data from Likert-type questions was delivered to 154 mental health social workers. A statistical analysis of the 65 returned questionnaires illustrated that the vast majority of the informants supported the professionalization of clinical social work, and that their perspectives were related to their demographic and professional characteristics.
