Abstract

Participatory Design processes are growing in application, from Positive Computing for wellbeing to Design Based Implementation Research focused on educational processes, including developing learning technology. Following workshops at the Participatory Design Conference 2022 to be held in Sibu, this will be a chance to meet with First Nations people and their compatriots working in the area of Technology Development. While as First Nations people we share various protocols of engagement, those who are not from First Nations have to interpret these in terms of their experience. Hence, we will focus on the experience of engagement, the complexity and the patterns that guide our work. This gathering builds on work at the Participatory Design Conference in Sibu, Malaysia August 22 for those researching with First Nations.
