Abstract
Universities provide access for developing communities to testing, projects and training in the skills needed to manage such projects. As part of our public role we can develop relationships with community organisations in our region of the world who are seeking the development of tools, products and process they require for their development. At the same time this enables our staff and students to develop technical skills with a transdisciplinary approach, engage across cultures in novel designs, and engage innovative and inspiring students from these communities to study further.
We will be sharing experiences in Pacific and South East Asia in project design, supporting component testing, implementing new technology, and training communities to manage this technology; and in rural and remote in Australia working with Aboriginal communities seeking support for their development
