Abstract
This report documents an evaluation of Waminda’s Dead or Deadly Aboriginal Women’s Health and Wellbeing Program (DD), conducted by Molly Wardaguga Research Centre (MWRC), Charles Darwin University (CDU). The aim of the DD program is to improve health and wellbeing by improving health literacy and lifestyle choices. The evaluation finds that the program design is sound, DD outputs and activities are producing the desired outcomes and it is feasible to deliver the program in the current context. Over the three-year period, the program reached 648 women, met or exceeded most targets and achieved all program objectives. DD successfully provides healthy lifestyle advice, services and support, tailored to each participant’s needs.
