    Abstract

Every day in Australia, in communities and classrooms, it is not unusual to see young children engaging with digital technology. I recently spent a year interviewing parents and caregivers of 48 children with diagnosed disabilities in the Darwin area. As part of our conversations we discussed how their children (aged 4 months to 14 years) were engaging with technology in their everyday lives.
