    Abstract

Technology adoption in hospitals is always challenging as reflected in the reviews from the last few decades (see, for example, Coustasse, Tomblin and Slack 2013; Yao, Chu and Li 2012). Academics have used adoption models, such as the technology acceptance model (TAM), which evaluates user acceptance of computer-based information systems (Davis 1986), or diffusion of innovation (Rogers 2003) to study and evaluate technology adoption within hospitals.
