Abstract

Lansen v N T Minister for Mines and Energy involved challenges by native title claimants to approvals given by the NT Minister for Mines and Energy - alterations from underground to open cut mining operations associated with significant expansion of the mine - no consideration given to extensive and mandatory provisions in s 41 of the Mining Management Act regarding review and update of a mining management plan (MMP).
