Abstract
This paper necessarily deals with colonial and Aboriginal monuments and statuary. There is a marked deficiency in the latter category. Aboriginal monuments and statuary arising from post-settlement colonialism and frontier wars, where they exist, are very different from traditional colonial monuments and statuary for a variety of reasons, and these will be discussed.
