Abstract

This paper examines the impact of intellectual capital management on the performance (effectiveness and efficiency) and reputation in the public sector organisations. It highlights the relevance of using IC resources for management in the new public sector management. It presents an argument for the possibility of managing IC resources to enhance performance (effectiveness and efficiency) and reputation. It highlights the significance of managing intellectual capital resources in public sector organisations and the dearth of research areas and trends. This study is presented as a review and is conceptual and theoretical in nature. The paper contributes to the literature on the use of intellectual capital resources in the public sector for performance and reputation enhancement.
