School Improvement Partner (SIPartner) was implemented under School Improvement Programme (SIP) which becomes the focus implementation by Malaysia Education Ministry through Malaysia Education Blueprint 2013-2025. This study is focused to identify the level, relationship and SIPartner guidance influence on principal leadership in Sabah. Guidance is a major role in the process of implementation in SIPartner programme and refers to interactive process between the SIPartner and the principal in resolving achievement problem or building principal capacity to conduct their daily work. Guidance consists of three parts namely knowledge, skills and behaviour which will be independent variables in this study. The research respondents are 40 principals from four districts in Sabah. Retrieval research shows that SIPartner behaviour and knowledge level is high. Meanwhile correlation shows that there is a significant relationship between knowledge, skill and behaviour with school principal leadership. Based on Pearson correlation, it is found that relationship that exists in all the three variables is positive and strong. Based on t value, it can be concluded that skill variable is showing the most significant influence on school principal leadership. Variable skills Contribute total of 78% variance on principal leadership in school. This means that SIPartner skill is the key index in improving principal leadership to develop school performance. © Serials Publications.
