    Abstract

One thing that is a constant in the world of technology enhanced learning is change, be that upgrades to technology, and systems, approaches to teaching, new student experiences or organisational change. In 2019 Charles Darwin University moved to Blackboard Learn Base Navigation and by the beginning of 2020 teaching its first units in Learn Ultra. The College of Engineering IT and Environment were an early adopter of Learn Ultra and together with the team at Education Strategy developed a series of seven workshops to discover, share, connect and build their capability to create units in Learn Ultra. Starting with seven units in Semester 1, 2020 by the end of year it was decided that all units for 2021 were to be Learn Ultra. In 2021 171 units were transitioned to Learn Ultra involving 38 teaching staff from the College and a small team of staff from Education Strategy.
This was an opportunity for online teaching renewal, for redesign of units and to collaborate with the team at Education Strategy in new ways. Join CDU colleagues in sharing their journey of discovery to transition the College of Engineering IT and Environment to Learn Ultra.
