Abstract

Cough is sometimes a cardinal symptom of asthma in children. However cough is the dominant symptom of respiratory disease and children with asthma may cough from a variety of reasons other than asthma. This review presents a summary of the studies relating cough as a symptom of asthma and discusses the relationship between severity indices of asthma and cough in children.
