Abstract
Population figures just published by the Australian Bureau of Statistics show that the total Estimated Resident Population of the Northern Territory stood at 244,990at the end of March 2017, an increase of 338 over one year earlier.This represents a growth rate over the year of 0.1%. The population of 244,990 gives the Territory a 1.0% share of the national population of 24,511,773.
