Abstract
The final session of the Kettil Bruun Society's symposium on community-based prevention of alcohol-and drug-related problems comprised a panel-led discussion of the themes that emerged during the course of the presentations and discussions. This is a report of the deliberations and conclusions of this panel discussion and provides a summary of what the symposium delegates indicated important to consider when undertaking community based prevention. The intention is to encapsulate the views of this unique group, who have extensive experience in researching and implementing community prevention projects in a variety of settings around the world.
