    Abstract

This research will document how the ‘housing crisis’ is affecting the various population groups in Darwin (Indigenous people, workers, seniors, young families). It will then examine how the Health and Community Service (HCS) sector in Darwin deals with the needs of its changing population and how it responds to social and health issues caused by the current ‘housing crisis’. It will be particularly important to inform planning and housing decision for the new suburbs and new city of Weddell planned for the Darwin region.
