Tourism Industry has many benefits to Sri Lanka. This dissertation attempts to annotate the impact of tourism to the Sri Lankan economy and to examine the impact of terrorism to the tourist industry in Sri Lanka. Through literature review a concrete study has been undertaken as to how this study should proceed. Tourism industry in Sri Lanka is found to be a lead sector, and also that tourism in the country is affected by the on going ethnic conflict. Unless until there is a permanent solution to the political problems in Sri Lanka, the future of tourism industry seems bleak.
